Heaton, Heaton Park, 'Rabbie Burns'

Lost statue. It was a bronze figure with outstretched arms 1.8m high, on a stone circular pedestal 2m high and was donated by members of the Burns Club. It was erected in Walker Park in 1901, repaired and re-sited in Heaton Park in 1975 and removed in 1984 after vandals broke the statue into several pieces.
