Description:
Once the pedimental decoration of the Armstrong Works projectile shop, c. 1860. Re-sited c.1990 on stairs running from Amethyst Drive to William Armstrong Drive. The relief carving includes a healdic arm and hammer, a helmeted head resembling Mars, god of war, and large gun barrels.
