Description:
Opened 15th August 1953. This was an old army hut whaich was extended to create a community hall with playing fields. Inside is a brass plaque with white lettering on an oak pattress. "HAZLERIGG AND DISTRICT WAR MEMORIAL COMMUNITY CENTRE IN EVERLASTING MEMORY OF THE MEN OF HAZLERIGG AND DISTRICT WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE TWO WORLD WARS 1914-1918 1939-1945. AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER THEM". The plaque is dated 20th November 1953.
