Description

This section of Durham Road is characterised by large houses built in the late C19 and early C20. There are three pairs of semi-detached houses set back from the road in large landscaped and walled front gardens. The largest pair, at the junction with Lyndhurst Avenue have been extended to form a nursing home. This area has a leafy early C20 suburban character.
