Description:
SWEDISH SLOOP, 1856. Whilst running for the safety of the harbour at Sunderland in wind conditions E force 8, her gaff broke, she became unmanageable, the tide carried the vessel back out to sea, and she washed behind the south pier to become a total wreck.
