ENGLISH TUG 1856. 'Left Sunderland at 7.20am in wind conditions SSW force 2, and very shortly after struck on a sunken wreck and knocked a hole in her bottom. She was then towed a little further up the harbour, but became a total wreck due to heavy seas. The wreck she struck had been buoyed, but the wreck itself had washed away from the buoy for a distance of about 100 yards' {Larn 1997}. Built in 1841.
