Description
Opened in 1962 to serve the North Kenton estate. On the corner of Kirkwood Drive and Sheringham Avenue. The pub had three public rooms: a bar, lounge and buffet. Owned by Scottish & Newcastle Breweries. The Kenton Quarry was said to have 'beautifully light windows with a view clear to the Simonside Hills and Cheviot'.
