Description:
1812-1893. Richard Cail was a railway and reservoir engineering. He was Mayor of Newcastle in 1872 and 1879. His gravestone is a massive 4 ton granite block, which Alan Morgan says resembles a fallen tree trunk. Richard Cail designed it himself and described it in his will.
