Description:
The Engine Inn is labelled on the First Edition Ordnance Survey Plan, 1858. Although unlabelled, the same building is also shown on the Tithe Plan for Willington, 1839. During the 20th century the pub expanded eastward. A building plan for alterations to the pub in 1898 exists at TWAS. The pub closed in the 2000s, was burnt out and demolished.
