Philadelphia Miners Welfare Institute

This miners welfare institute was built in 1926 and is first shown on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch map of 1940 labelled 'Inst.'. It is constructed from red brick with a stone window surround to the large central window and other decorative stone elements. The building faces northeast and has an asymmetrical frontage with the entrance door to the left.
