Description
North East Mason farm is shown on the first edition Ordnance Survey map (surveyed 1858) as three ranges of buildings set around a courtyard open to the south and with a gingang on the north side. To the north east of the buildings a pond is shown, with an enclosed garden or orchard to the north. The 18th century farmhouse, hind's cottage and attached outbuilding (HER 8905) and a shelter shed, loft and barn (HER 9143) are listed Grade II.
Later maps show that buildings were added to the southeast in the later 19th century, and to the north in the 20th century. Those to the north have been replaced with much larger modern buildings.
