          Description
There has been a reservoir at Carr Hill for over 150 years. A plan was brought forward in 1875 to replace the earlier reservoir with a much larger version. The Carr Hill Service Reservoir was completed in 1880 to the design of John Bateman. It has since been replaced by a totally enclosed reservoir constructed of reinforced concrete.
