Documentary Evidence

This is a horse training and marshalling area for military horses before they were posted to the front in France {1}. Geophysical survey in 2000 identified possible pits (or a magnetic response to remanants of iron from the horse shoes?) associated with the marshalling area. A rectilinear feature may be a small corral.
