Clara Vale, roughout axe

A flint axe, possibly a roughout, was found in 1917 about 50 yards west of a cist burial (HER no. 518), and in 1959 was noted by the Ordnance Survey as being in the possession of Mrs. Wheatley of Ash Tree Farm, Chopwell.
