An early vernacular group in Chowdene Conservation Area. Ashlar-built. Boundary Cottage is the most 'polite' and is named on a carved stone plaque. Its name refers to the boundary of Gateshead parish, borough and fell (enclosed in 1822). DESCRIPTION Mid 19th century. Ashlar, rusticated quoins. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Modern windows.
