Description
The Sunderland Eye Infirmary was built between 1938 and 1940. It was designed by Sunderland architects W and T R Milburn. It consists of a complex of buildings of between one and three storeys in an irregular plan constrained by the available site. It is constructed from a steel frame faced with red brick laid in soldier courses.
The building was assessed for listing in 2024 but was not recommended for listing.
