          Description
By Ryder and Yates 1964. A factory unit for Lion Brushworks, which included offices, a canteen, workshop, plating area and machine room. The building had a brick superstructure but the workshop façade was clad in metal sheeting. The main elevation was brick and had clerestory lighting and projecting display windows at ground floor level. The factory had a steel portal farme with tapered castellated beam rafters. The last frame on the eastern façade was designed to allow future extension of the structure. The entrance elevation included a white channel in its brickwork which incorporated an alarm bell. An external fuel tank cube in the car park entrance was raised on a single support from a concrete basin. The building is now occupied by Henson's. LOCAL LIST
