              ENGLISH SCHOONER, 1860. 'Having left Wells-next-the-Sea the previous day, she encountered thick fog and her master failed to use the lead and line. As a consequence, in heavy seas, she struck on the rocks at 9.15pm, came off, filled and sank' {Richard and Bridget Larn 1997}.
