Hill House is shown on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map as two long buildings aligned east-west, the western one set slightly further north. To the south are formal gardens, bounded to the west by the Carley Hill Wagonway (HER2682). To the east is Carley Lodge (HER19157). The buildings survived into the mid 20th century but are no longer extant. The eastern stone boundary wall of the garden survives on Sycamore Drive.
