Description

A series of First World War practice trenches are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on air photographs, at NZ 3510 7344. The features were most likely part of a complex of trenches running along the coast including UID 1465034, 1465261 and 1464922. The features no longer appear to be extant on the latest 1988 Ordnance Survey vertical photography.
