          Description
              Outside the south wall of milecastle 9 (HER 214) about half way between the gate and the south-west corner, the headless skeleton of a person aged about 17 years was found in 1929. The bones of an adult man and a woman of about 20 were found nearby. The remains could be Roman or post-Roman.
