Description
This group of buildings and associated yard, located at the north east corner of the junction between Armstrong Road and Atkinson Road, is first shown on the Ordnance Survey second edition map of 1897 labelled 'Benwell District Council Offices & Depot'.
The 1 and 2 storey buildings are constructed from red brick with stone window and door dressings, string course and quoins. The yard is located to the north of the buildings, with a gate onto Atkinson Road. The northern stone gatepost survives.
