Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition. Connected with Line's wallpaper company situated in the Line Building from the late 1920s-late 1950s. The warehouse and the Line Building were once connected by a bridge.

Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition. In the 19th century the Crow's Nest was surrounded by ash and elm trees. It was named after a colony of rooks which nested in the trees until all but one were felled in the 1860s. In 1896 the pub was altered and extended. The Newcastle Journal reported that the 'dingy chambers are replaced by rooms as light as day; the clumsily-constructed benches, often dirty, by velvet-cushioned seats; the oil lamp by the electric light. Truly the new Crow's Nest is well and tastefully done… Even the habitually rude settle down to decorum under the influence of such surroundings". Between 1899 and 1902 under Newcastle Breweries, the pub was further rebuilt. It became of their flagship public houses with beautifully decorated bars and buffets. The pub was often locally known as the 'Feathers and Twigs' and other names relating to bird droppings! It closed in the 1960s. The first and second floors over by Durham University (later Newcastle University) and used as laboratories in the 1960s. Glazed bridges were built into the rear wall to link the main staircase in the adjacent Line Building to the landings in the hotel. In 1987 the university made the ground floor and cellar available to Newcastle Breweries again. It became Inventions in 1987. Refit by Peter Lambert architect. In 1996 it became Australian theme pub, Bar Oz). Has now been refitted again and reverted to its original name of the Crow's Nest. In 2014 the first and second floors were recorded by ASUD along with the adjoining Line Building. The rooms contained elaborate plasterwork decoration. On the first floor this was largely hidden by subdivisions and suspended ceilings. On the second floor there is a large panelled ballroom with a decorated plaster vault.

Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition. The Haymarket Brewery bought The Plough in 1892 and rebuilt it in 1894. It transferred to Newcastle Breweries in the late 1890s. It had a little bar and back buffet. It closed in 1976.

Shown on Ordnance Survey third edition. Built 1903 two years after the opening of the Newcastle Corporation Tramways but ahead of the 1907 extension of the network to Fenham. A building recording was undertaken in 2015 ahead of conversion. The forecourt on Westgate Road is presently used as a car wash. The building is concrete rendered and has fine round-headed arched windows and other architectural detail. Largely utilitarian external elevations. Following recording it has been concluded that, apart from the rebuilding of the north end the tram sheds survive in more or less their overall form with altered interiors.
