1976 by Michael Rizzello. Painted bronze portrait roundels of E.M. Bainbridge, John Lewis and John Spedan Lewis mounted behind a window in the side of the John Lewis store. Each roundel is 30cm diameter. In 1838 Emerson Muschamp Bainbridge opened a shop at 12 Market Street in Newcastle, which grew into the world's first department store. In 1953 the Bainbridge business joined the John Lewis Partnership. Bainbridge moved to Eldon Square in 1976.

1997 by William Pym. A polished steel relief sculpture of a tree with a black forged iron raven sitting in it. On the surrounding floor area are other forged iron objects - books, cups and saucers, mugs and miniature houses. There is also a tall decorative steel column. A nest and eggs beneath the raven were added in 1999. The sculpture is on the gable end of a terrace row at the junction with Wellfield Road.

1997 by Aidan Doyle. Relief sculpture in cut and forged steel of a steam engine (painted yellow), a grey horse-drawn wagon team and a steam engine and wagons, one with JUPITER on its side. 10m long and 3.5m high. On side of building 100m along track to west.

Installed 1906. The fountain takes the form of a drum with an iron finial on top of a cubic base and trough. The drum has an inscription on its northern face: "ERECTED BY/ MISS A. RIPPON/ IN REMEMBRANCE OF HER BROTHER/ WILLIAM C. RIPPON, OF HIS LIFE'S RESIDENCE IN BURNOPFIELD/ AND IN KINDNESS TO DUMB ANIMALS/ 1906/ THE DONOR OF THIS FOUNTAIN/ DIED 3RD OCT.R BEFORE ITS COMPLETION/ ACCEPTED/ ON BEHALF OF PARK COMMITTEE BY/ H.C. WOOD C.C./ ACCEPTED ON BEHALF OF TANFIELD U.D. COUNCIL BY/ W. BULMER J.P.". According to the 1881 census, William C. Rippon was a butcher and inn keeper who lived with his sister Mary. A. Rippon in Burnopfield. Relocated in 1996.

1995 by Wilma Eaton. Two half pit wheels set in parallel with a third smaller steel hemicircle in between, decorated with forged steel miners, winding gear and coal seams. The structure was salvaged from Easington Colliery. Commissioned by City of Sunderland as a tribute to those who worked at Ryhope Colliery between 1856 and 1966.

1998 by Graham Robinson for Northern Freeform, architects Anthony Walker & Partners. A sundial formed in coloured paving slabs with iron numbers around a central sun motif, on the summit of a modern artificial hill. The gnomon is a large slanting slab of orange-brown iron with relief designs on either side. The 'Sundial' was unveiled by David Bellamy. The hill is now the highest point in North Tyneside. Commissioned by North Tyneside City Challenge and English Partnerships.

Grade II listed, installed circa 1922. A white stone or marble statue of a soldier in a floppy hat, holding a rifle. Stands on a square granite pedestal with foliate carving around the architrave, on a two-tier base with two concrete steps.Sculpted by Mr S Frazer of Grangetown. The names of the dead are inscribed on all four faces of the pedestal and on three faces of the lower base. This includes 151 individuals who lost their lives in the First World War; 59 service men from the Second World War: 9 civilians, five of which were female, and four were from the same family killed by enemy action in Silksworth in the Second World War and 2 sailors killed in the Milford Haven/ Landing Craft Disaster in April 1943. The name of a soldier killed in Bosnia in 1996 has subsequently been added to the south-east panel.In black painted letters on the pedestal are the words: "THIS MEMORIAL/ WAS ERECTED IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF THE SILKSWORTH AND/ TUNSTALL PARISHES WHO MADE THE SUPREME/ SACRIFICE IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918" and "NOT ONCE BUT TWICE IN OUR ROUGH ISLAND STORY/ THE PATH OF DUTY WAS THE WAY TO GLORY" and "ALSO/ IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY OF/ THOSE OF THESE PARISHES WHO FELL IN THE/ SECOND WORLD WAR/ 1939 - 1945".

In June 2019 the Silksworth and Tunstall War Memorial was recommended for listing at Grade II (Listing Number: 1463870). The memorial lists the names of individuals killed in conflicts in the 20th-century. This includes 151 individuals who lost their lives in the First World War; 59 service men from the Second World War: 9 civilians, five of which were female, and four were from the same family killed by enemy action in Silksworth in the Second World War and 2 sailors killed in the Milford Haven/ Landing Craft Disaster in April 1943. The name of a soldier killed in Bosnia in 1996 has subsequently been added to the south-east panel.

1998 by Juan Munoz. 22 bronze figures, patinated light blue-green, on a paved area behind Littlehaven Beach. The figures appear to be standing in filled sacks. Each figure is in a different pose, either listening, leaning or talking. LOCAL LIST

1990 by Robert Olley, foundry was Burleighfield. A bronze statue 2.5m high of a sailor at the wheel on a sloping yellow ashlar pedestal 1.74m high. Inscribed on the pedestal on a plaque are the words: "MERCHANT NAVY MEMORIAL/ THIS STATUE WAS UNVEILED BY/ COUNTESS MOUNTBATTEN OF BURMA/ ON 19TH SEPTEMBER 1990/ IN MEMORY OF THE THOUSANDS OF MERCHANT SEAMEN/ WHO SAILED FROM THIS PORT AND LOST THEIR LIVES IN WORLD WAR II/ UNRECOGNIZED YOU PUT US IN YOUR DEPT/ UNTHANKED YOU ENTER OR ESCAPE THE GRAVE/ WHETHER YOUR LAND REMEMBER OR FORGET/ YOU SAVED THE LAND, OR DIED TRYING TO SAVE/ JOHN MASEFIELD POET LAUREATE". The £56,000 needed was raised by public subscription. The plinth was paid for by Tyne and Wear Development Corporation. LOCAL LIST

1998 by David Gross. A large wooden hand stained a dull red, with a propeller in its palm. Sited above the river bank in a privately owned shipyard, but visible from the road outside and from the river bank in North Tyneside. The sculptor collaborated with pupils from SS Peter and Paul's RC Primary School. 'Hand' is meant to be "a symbolic greeting to ships entering the River Tyne". Part of the Art on the Riverside scheme. Commissioned by the Customs House Charitable Trust on behalf of South Tyneside MBC.
