1999 by Helen Laws and Jane Gower. A perspex sculpture on the gable end of the building. Based on the idea of a sundial and incorporating images of navigational instruments. Commissioned by Art on the Riverside.

Next to Trinity Gardens, a big development by Waring and Netts 2005. Landscaping by Southern Green 2008. A central low amphitheatre with pale granite steps holds this scultpure, 2004 by Peter Randall-Page. A 40 ton granite glacial boulder carved with a matrix of 630 hexagons and 12 pentagons. The work is sited within concentric circles surrounded by a thin film of water representing the Pandon Burn. Commissioned by Silverlink Properties.

1998 by Raf Fulcher of Sunderland University. A folly in the form of a sandstone and concrete circular temple-like building with a golden sun or planet above in a sphere. The names of various towns (London, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Dororecht, Hamburg, Bremen, Chent) are carved around the inner rim. The names were taken from a wooden sign at Plummer Chare, and were the destinations of Newcastle and Sunderland liners of the Tyne-Tees Steam Shipping Company. Commissioned by the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation.

1996 by Members of the British Association of Blacksmith Artists. A forged steel cone in six sections. Each section contains objects, mostly with a maritime theme, which relate to one of the senses. The work was inaugerated in May 1997 by Evelyn Glennie, a percussionist, ringing the bell which hangs inside the needle. Commissioned by the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation.

1996 by Andrew Burton. A green-patinated bronze curving rudder-like form. Commissioned by the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation.

1996 by Andrew Burton. A series of curved shapes surrounding a tapered column, all in steel. There is a twisted abstract shape on top of the column. Resembles waves around a lighthouse. Commissioned by the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation.

1996 by Neil Talbot. A carved relief showing a map of 30 miles of the River Tyne on a retaining wall beside the Wesley Memorial Fountain. Commissioned by the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation. The river is shown in map form with important structures along its route - Cawfields Roman milecastle, Bardon Mill, Corbridge bridge, Prudhoe Castle, Cherryburn, Stephenson's cottage at Wylam, Lemington Glass Cone, Newburn Church, Vicker's factory, Dunston Staithes, Swing Bridge, High Level Bridge, Castle Keep, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Swan Hunter Shipyard, Jarrow Monastery, Arbeia Roman Fort, North Shields Fish Quay and Tynemouth Priory.

1995 by Andre Wallace. Partner piece to 'River God'. A female bronze torso with a bell for an earring. Sits on a steel column. Commissioned by the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation.

1996 by Andre Wallace. Bronze brown-patinated figure of a male head and torso on top of a steel column. He holds a staff and chain and appears to be blowing at the nearby 'Siren' figure by the same artist. Commissioned by the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation.

2000 by Ray Smith. Stylised linked concrete figures creating a barrier between the road and the area around the South African War Memorial. The work included water features at either end in stainless steel. Commissioned by Newcastle City Council.
