Features relating to post-medieval or early modern mining activity were identified in several trenches during an archaeological evaluation in 2015. These took the form of pits, probably shafts and linear cuts. At least one of these features was of probable 17th-18th century date. Post-medieval pottery has provided some dating evidence.
