Description
The approximate location of the Low Moorsley windmill has been identified through field names recorded on the tithe plan and Dean and Chapter Estate Plan. It seems at Moorsley a cart track led from either end of High Moorsley to the hilltop where the windmill was situated. Moorsley's mill is mentioned in Priory records of 1340 but does not feature after the mid 14th century. It may have gone out of use by this time due to the demise in population.
